Dickinson, ND. The 2018 Mixer Truck Driving Championship was held Saturday, May 19th in Mandan, North Dakota. The competition, sponsored by the North Dakota Ready-Mix and Concrete Products Association, lets the Mixer drivers of concrete companies compete over a challenge course as well as taking a written test and going through a DOT safety inspection. Dickinson Ready Mix was proud to be represented in the competition by four different drivers who have worked a combined 21 years for the company. Jeff Brown, Adam Butler, Scott Ogren, and Steve Dickinson all placed extremely well, but fell short of qualifying for the National competition to be held later this year in Washington D.C.
Ben Olin, of Dickinson Ready Mix, talked about how important the competition is to the company and the industry. “Not only will the public get to see large commercial vehicles up close and personal, but they also will be able to watch some of the best drivers from across the state demonstrate their talents in front of their peers and a panel of judges.”
